The Alibaba Qwen large model family has received a major update. Qwen3.5-Max-Preview, the flagship preview version of the Qwen 3.5 series, has officially made its debut on the global authoritative large model evaluation platform LM Arena, setting a new record with a comprehensive score of 1464 points.

Ranking Rise: Staying at the Top of Chinese Large Models
In this anonymous blind test arena organized by LMSYS, Tongyi Qianwen performed strongly:
Global Ranking: Tongyi Qianwen ranks fifth in the overall list, making it the highest-ranked Chinese large model.
Specialized Capabilities: Its mathematical ability ranks fifth globally, and its expert-level text processing capability is tenth worldwide.
Pure Performance Comparison: In an absolute win rate competition without style control factors, its overall performance ranks sixth globally.
Since the Chinese New Year's Eve, Tongyi Qianwen has been continuously open-sourcing multiple models of the Qwen3.5 series, building a complete technical ecosystem:
Parameter Scale: It includes eight different sizes ranging from 0.8B to 397B, ensuring top performance in various hardware environments.
Architecture Advantages: Taking Qwen3.5-Plus as an example, it uses a MoE architecture with a total of 397 billion parameters and 17 billion activated parameters, achieving a balance between low power consumption and high performance.
Ongoing Evolution: The Max-Preview version launched this time aims to collect feedback through preview testing to lay the foundation for subsequent official iterations.
LM Arena is widely recognized as the most difficult to "cheat" and most practically valuable ranking due to its mechanism of "anonymous model battles and global developer voting." Tongyi Qianwen's rise to the top marks that domestic large models have officially entered the global top tier in terms of general capabilities, logical reasoning, and multilingual understanding.
Currently, the Tongyi Qianwen 3.5 series has been fully launched on Alibaba Cloud's BaiLian platform and open-source community, continuously helping various industries achieve deep AI application implementation.
