Microsoft recently disclosed at its earnings conference that the AI assistant Copilot, built into Microsoft 365 applications, has achieved milestone progress. CEO Satya Nadella pointed out that the number of enterprise paid seats has exceeded 20 million, marking the official entry of AI office tools into a large-scale adoption phase.
Surge in Enterprise Orders Reflects Market Enthusiasm
Data shows that the number of large enterprises purchasing more than 50,000 seats has quadrupled in a short period. Industry giants including Bayer, Johnson & Johnson, Mercedes-Benz, and Roche have all ordered more than 90,000 seats, demonstrating strong demand from top companies for AI-driven efficiency.
More notably, Microsoft recently reached a major deal with Accenture for over 740,000 seats. Nadella emphasized that this is the largest order Copilot has received to date, further solidifying its leading position in the enterprise services market.
Surging User Engagement Achieves Frequent Interaction
In response to external doubts about low AI tool usage, Nadella revealed that Copilot's user query volume has grown by nearly 20% month-over-month. Currently, Copilot's weekly active usage is nearly on par with Outlook email, making it an indispensable high-intensity habit for users in their daily work.
Deep Integration of Multi-Model Routing and Agent Features
Copilot does not rely on a single model. Its intelligent routing function can call multiple models, including Claude, according to the needs to generate the best responses. This flexibility ensures that it can handle complex business logic and provide users with the most valuable recommendations.
Additionally, with the official release of the agent (Agent) feature last week, Copilot now has the ability to perform multi-step complex operations in applications such as Word and Excel. The default activation of this "agent mode" means users can delegate tasks in a brand-new way, truly achieving automated office work.
