Microsoft's new AI plan for Windows 11 has recently been exposed. Tech media discovered that the company is planning to introduce two major AI features at the system level after digging into a 14-page official Microsoft technical document.

The two features are called "Ask Copilot," an intelligent assistant in the taskbar, and an Excel table extraction tool integrated with the Click to Do tool. According to reports, Microsoft will initially invite enterprise customers of Frontier to experience these features first, but the specific release date and final availability may still be adjusted later.

The Taskbar Gains a "Smart Brain"

The new version of Ask Copilot in the taskbar upgrades the traditional interaction experience and is directly embedded in the user's taskbar and Start menu. It is deeply integrated with the Microsoft 365 Copilot office ecosystem and is supported by a dedicated AI agent running in the background.

This means that employees no longer need to frequently open a browser separately to look up information. Whether it is quickly retrieving company regulations, summarizing current tasks, or tracking the progress of the latest projects, users can complete these tasks directly from the taskbar, greatly reducing work interruptions caused by switching between applications.

The other highly anticipated upgrade is the "superpower" of the Click to Do tool, which is mainly aimed at Windows 11 AI+ PCs. This feature relies entirely on a local visual large model to accurately identify text, graphics, and various complex tables displayed on the screen.
