This figure has increased by $19.9 billion compared to the same period last year, placing him 63rd on the global billionaires list, surpassing Dario Amodei, co-founder of Anthropic, and Greg Brockman, co-founder of OpenAI.

40 billion valuation completed the first external funding round
In June of this year, DeepSeek completed its first external funding round of 51 billion yuan at a valuation of 40 billion yuan. According to sources from Reuters, Liang Wenfeng himself invested 20 billion yuan out of his own pocket, showing strong confidence in the future of his company. DeepSeek was established on July 17, 2023, and is headquartered in Guanshan District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province.
