According to foreign media reports, two sources familiar with the matter revealed that the annualized revenue of DeepSeek, a leading domestic large model company, has exceeded $1 billion, doubling from less than $500 million several months ago. This significant growth is mainly attributed to recent price increases for its products and the continuously rising adoption rates of its series of models among developers and enterprises.

Liang Wenfeng, CEO of DeepSeek, disclosed this key financial data during a recent investor meeting. This move is seen as an important step to boost investor confidence at a critical moment in the capital market — DeepSeek is nearing the completion of its second round of funding and is actively preparing for an initial public offering on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
According to the plan, the company aims to complete this round of financing by the end of October, with a fundraising target of 50 billion yuan (approximately 7.5 billion U.S. dollars), and the post-investment valuation is expected to reach 500 billion yuan.
In the current context where commercialization of generative AI faces scrutiny regarding monetization and profitability, the rapid growth in DeepSeek's annualized revenue not only confirms its ability to commercialize large model technology, but also the projected valuation of 500 billion yuan and the massive fundraising plan will set a new record for capital scale in the primary market for domestic large model start-ups, holding significant implications for local AI companies aiming to enter the public capital market.
