Ni Fei, President of ZTE Communications' Terminal Business Division and President of nubia, announced on July 15 that nubia has been the first to complete the filing of its intelligent entity large model. Its world's first AI intelligent entity phone will be the first terminal product to be equipped with this large model. As a flagship model for mass production, the new device will be equipped with Dou Bao mobile assistant and will be officially launched at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC2026) opening on July 17.
The latest official preview image released shows that the phone comes in a light pink color. The back cover is printed with the word "nubia" in the center, and it features speaker holes, a USB-C port, and a SIM card slot at the bottom; the camera module at the top is covered but appears to have a horizontally rounded design around the edges.
As a representative of the second half of the AI phone era moving from "functional integration" to "native intelligent entities," this device relies on the filed intelligent entity large model to deeply embed AI capabilities into the underlying mobile system. Users can more confidently entrust tasks to their phones, enabling autonomous cross-app execution, active understanding, and continuous learning. Ni Fei stated that this filing has laid a solid foundation for the safe deployment of terminal intelligent entities, marking a new stage in the mass production and commercialization of AI intelligent entity technology.
