On August 4th local time, Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, revealed AI advancements during the company's first earnings call and provided a clear timeline: Grok 4.6 is expected to be released next week, followed by Grok 4.7 in the coming weeks. Just a month ago, xAI launched Grok 4.5, which focuses on coding capabilities and can also handle financial and legal tasks.
The more critical step lies in the data sources. Musk revealed that SpaceX will provide fuel for Grok's training - "We will integrate the entire SpaceX dataset, basically all the data generated by SpaceX since its inception, into Grok's training." This means that the massive amount of first-hand data accumulated from rocket launches, spacecraft telemetry, manufacturing, and operations will be directly fed into the next generation of models, so Grok's next leap will no longer rely only on publicly available text, but will connect to the company's full set of private data.
