Notably, when using the local Chrome browser, no additional API key is even required.
Empowered by this plugin, the capabilities of Grok Build have been significantly expanded. It can now independently browse websites, extract various types of data from web pages, fill out online forms, perform automated testing of web applications, and take screenshots.
Additionally, the tool supports running directly on the local machine via uvx, meaning developers can easily build a complete web automation workflow. This upgrade marks a crucial step for Grok toward becoming a full-stack web intelligent assistant.
