According to the latest official announcement, iFlytek will officially open-source two edge-side general large models, Xinghuo X2.5-4B and Xinghuo X2.5-1.7B, on September 1st. Both models support a context window of up to 1 million tokens natively. They have achieved significant improvements in core dimensions such as intelligent agent interaction, mathematical computation, and basic general understanding, and will provide strong model support for edge-side scenarios including in-vehicle terminals, smart hardware, and the Internet of Everything.
Following the open-sourcing of the edge-side models, iFlytek also plans to officially release the Xinghuo X2.5 base model with a scale of 293B on September 7th. This version will further deepen the upgrade of core technologies such as code generation and intelligent agent collaboration. Previously, during the company's mid-year performance briefing in 2026, it was mentioned that at this year's Global 1024 Developer Festival, a new main general large model based on fully domestic computing power will also be launched, continuing to promote the independent innovation of underlying technologies.
