Amid the continued popularity of the artificial intelligence sector, a young AI startup has once again set a new record for growth in the capital market. Israeli-Dutch AI company Wonderful recently announced a $550 million Series C funding round, which immediately increased its valuation to $5 billion. Just under six months ago, the company had completed its previous round of financing, with an estimated valuation of around $2 billion, meaning its scale has more than doubled in a very short period of time.

This round of funding attracted continued investment from well-known institutions, with Insight Partners returning as the lead investor, and existing investors Index Ventures, IVP, Vine Ventures, 9Yards, and Bessemer Venture Partners also participating. In addition, Salesforce joined as a new investor for the first time.

Since its establishment at the beginning of 2025, Wonderful has shown remarkable development speed. Its business started with a customer service AI agent platform targeting non-English markets, and by dispatching on-site deployment engineers directly to client locations, it deeply integrated with enterprise internal workflows and existing systems, rapidly expanding its operations to 35 countries and regions around the world.

As its business evolved, the company's core product recently underwent a significant upgrade. From its initial focus on the customer service sector, it transitioned to launch a comprehensive platform called "Wonderful AI OS." The platform aims to seamlessly connect and coordinate various AI agents, workflows, and applications with a company's proprietary data and existing technology stack. Its biggest feature is its open compatibility with underlying technologies, supporting any major AI model and adapting to various existing enterprise technology architectures.

Roy Lalaazar, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Wonderful, stated that the design intent of the platform is to allow customers to independently select the models most suitable for their business workloads, flexibly integrate them into existing systems, and retain full ownership of their self-built results. At the same time, the company continues to adopt the on-site deployment engineer service model to help enterprises implement AI products more quickly, which is particularly valuable in the current market where experts who can implement AI solutions are extremely scarce.

Regarding the future use of the $550 million in funds, Wonderful's official statement said that the entire amount will be invested in accelerating product development, expanding the on-site deployment engineering team, and fully meeting the strong demand for various business solutions in the global market.
