Upwork has released its top ten generative AI-related skills and hiring trends for 2023. According to a new survey of 1,400 U.S. business leaders by Upwork, due to generative artificial intelligence, 49% of hiring managers plan to employ more independent talent, and an additional 49% intend to hire more full-time staff. Independent professionals on the Upwork platform have completed over 20,000 projects involving artificial intelligence work. Upwork notes that freelance professionals consistently lead in the forefront of emerging technologies, quickly recognizing, learning, and mastering these skills to provide businesses with specialized knowledge and in-depth understanding of AI principles, technologies, algorithms, and methodologies, thereby maximizing the potential of generative AI.
