Sailor is an open-source language model tailored for Southeast Asian languages. It supports Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese, Malay, Lao, and other Southeast Asian languages. These models are designed to understand and generate diverse language text in the region through careful data curation. Built upon the Qwen 1.5 architecture, Sailor offers model versions ranging from 0.5B to 7B parameters to cater to various needs. Sailor demonstrates strong performance in Southeast Asian language tasks such as question answering, common sense reasoning, and reading comprehension.
