According to AI intelligence news, Meituan is accelerating its AI strategic layout and is about to launch an AI programming tool named "NoCode." The domain name "nocode.cn" has also been quietly registered. Currently, the website is in a gray-scale testing phase, signaling that this new product aimed at non-technical users will soon be officially launched. This tool is developed by the Quality and Efficiency Team of Meituan, targeting the emerging "Vibe Coding (Ambient Programming)" track. Through conversational interaction, it enables application building with a focus on an "everyone can use" AI programming experience.
Unlike Cursor, which is centered around developers for auxiliary programming tools, or Devin, which represents autonomous AI programming paths, Meituan's "NoCode" is closer to the beloved products recently receiving attention in the industry. It is designed for non-programmer users, emphasizing code generation, deployment, and modification through natural language multi-round dialogues. "NoCode" can be used in scenarios such as data analysis, prototype design, operational tool construction, and portal site building. Its technical architecture adopts a Code Agent with complex logical reasoning capabilities, capable of intelligently scheduling tasks like file retrieval, log analysis, and database queries. It further optimizes execution depth.
According to sources close to the project, the core motivation behind Meituan's launch of this product is to popularize AI programming capabilities to a broader user base, particularly the large number of small and medium-sized merchants and operators on its platform, allowing them to develop and use customized tools as easily as ordering food. This product originated from Meituan's internal AI Hackathon event in 2023, initially serving only internal R&D teams. Now, it has integrated with Meituan's technical system and is being used in real-world scenarios across multiple business lines. Some operators and field personnel have already used "NoCode" to autonomously develop functional prototypes, effectively meeting long-tail demands.
The introduction of this product also marks a key release in Meituan's AI strategy. Meituan CEO Wang Xing first comprehensively disclosed the company's AI strategy in March 2025 during the earnings conference, proposing three directions: "AI at Work," "AI in Products," and "Building LLMs." "NoCode" is the representative project of "AI in Products," while in the "AI at Work" aspect, Meituan is simultaneously advancing an AI development tool called "CatPaw" for internal technical teams. Data shows that after the launch of "CatPaw," AI-generated code accounts for 50% of Meituan's R&D team, with a weekly active rate exceeding 80%, significantly improving overall development efficiency.
It is reported that "NoCode" is not the end of Meituan's AI strategy. Recently, Meituan executives have been increasing their investment in the AI direction, with Wang Puzhong, CEO of Core Local Business, leading the development of an AI-native "personalized life secretary" product. With the continuous iteration of the "LongCat" large model and the large-scale recruitment of AI talent, Meituan may see a more密集 period of product releases in the AI field. As an important part of its AI strategy, the launch of "NoCode" not only demonstrates Meituan's closed-loop AI capability from internal efficiency enhancement to product output but also predicts a wider application of AI programming in the Chinese market.
