The forum was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Shanghai Municipal Government, and organized by Fudan University. It attracted experts in the field of quantum technology from China, the United States, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Singapore. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions through academic reports and roundtable discussions on the integration of artificial intelligence with quantum computing and quantum information science. They jointly explored key scientific issues facing the field of quantum artificial intelligence and future development opportunities, and looked forward to the prospects of industrial applications.

Members of the Shanghai Quantum Artificial Intelligence Consortium include 12 research institutions and several leading enterprises in the quantum field, such as Fudan University, the Shanghai Qi Zhi Institute, the Shanghai Quantum Science Research Center, and the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. Professor Li Xiaopeng from the Department of Physics at Fudan University stated that the consortium will focus on interdisciplinary research in quantum artificial intelligence over the next five years, aiming to achieve breakthroughs in fundamental theories, core technologies, and key applications, and to cultivate high-level interdisciplinary talent teams.

At the same time, the Shanghai Quantum Technology Equipment Industry Innovation Alliance was established under the leadership of the Shanghai Academy of Sciences. Its purpose is to gather quantum technology companies and research institutions in the Yangtze River Delta region, and to take on four major missions: industry clustering, collaborative research, standard setting, and ecological building. The aim of the alliance is to strengthen collaboration in the quantum equipment industry, promote the development of key components and core equipment, enhance the overall competitiveness of China's quantum technology equipment sector, and accelerate the industrial application of quantum technology.
