After officially launching its first XR headset on October 22, South Korean tech giant Samsung has announced its ambitious plan to launch AI glasses. Samsung has confirmed that it will introduce AI-powered smart glasses in the future and is collaborating with Google as well as globally renowned fashion eyewear brands to develop such wearable devices.

Samsung revealed that the AI glasses are one of several form factors being developed as part of its XR product line. To achieve the product goal of "style combined with cutting-edge fashion," Samsung has established partnerships with popular eyewear brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. This collaboration aims to deeply integrate Samsung's leading AI technology with fashion design, providing users with an "excellent customer experience."

The upcoming AI glasses will offer a seamless connectivity experience based on the Android XR system. Android XR is an operating system jointly developed by Google, Qualcomm, and Samsung, with its core advantage being the deep integration of Google's multimodal artificial intelligence model series—Gemini, indicating that the glasses will have powerful AI interaction capabilities.

Although Samsung has already launched Galaxy XR products in some countries, the company has not yet announced the specific name and release date of its first AI glasses. The market generally believes that this move by Samsung is another strong push into the smart wearable device market, following Meta and Ray-Ban's collaboration on smart glasses.
