Recently, it publicly released its self-developed AI advertising governance large model, which adopts a "full-chain governance" framework and an "AI governing AI" core strategy, building a smart defense line for the digital advertising ecosystem.
This multimodal large model has achieved remarkable review efficiency: 90% of advertising materials can be intelligently reviewed within 10 minutes, significantly reducing the time cost of traditional manual verification. The model not only identifies sensitive words and exaggerated promises in texts, but also analyzes visual elements in images and videos, determining whether there are misleading scenes, inappropriate symbols, or illegal situations, achieving comprehensive governance over various forms of advertising such as text, images, videos, and live streams.
The practical results are equally impressive. In the third quarter of 2025 alone, the system preemptively intercepted more than 840,000 AI-generated advertising materials that were suspected of being in violation — these contents were accurately identified and blocked before being released, effectively preventing potential harm to users and brand reputation. This data not only confirms the model's high accuracy and strong generalization ability, but also demonstrates the platform's proactive choice between commercial interests and content safety.
While generative AI lowers the threshold for advertising creation, it also increases the complexity of compliance management. ByteDance's approach is not to restrict innovation, but to achieve "safety and efficiency together" through technological empowerment: advertisers can use the model's pre-check function to optimize materials in advance, while the platform maintains the healthy operation of the advertising ecosystem while ensuring user experience.
