On April 2, Tencent's AI collaboration tool WorkBuddy experienced a large-scale login failure. Subsequently, Tencent Cloud officially issued a statement apologizing and announcing a compensation plan.
Monitoring data shows that the failure started at 09:10 on the same day, with some users in China experiencing page 504 service errors, inability to log in, and program crashes. In response to this service interruption, the Tencent technical team intervened urgently, and related functions began to gradually recover from 11:45. To compensate for user losses, the official promised to issue 1000 Credits to all affected domestic users, and it is expected to be credited within two business days.
Although the official reported that services were fully restored and stable in the afternoon, social media and real-time comments showed that some users still reported difficulties accessing the official website and continued product crashes in the afternoon, indicating that the system's stability still faces long-tail challenges. As an important AI component in Tencent's collaborative office ecosystem, the service fluctuations of WorkBuddy directly affect the productivity flow of enterprise users.
