With the explosive growth of demand for artificial intelligence applications, "AI transit stations" that provide access to large models both domestically and internationally have become popular online. These platforms integrate APIs from major manufacturers, acting as intermediaries between users and large models.
They attract a large number of users with features such as not needing to switch models, low costs, and convenient payment methods, and can even help some people bypass compliance restrictions. However, the Ministry of State Security recently issued a notice warning that the current market is mixed, and the data security risks hidden within are not negligible.

Unregulated Development Leads to Multiple Security Vulnerabilities
According to the Ministry of State Security, these illegal and counterfeit "AI transit stations" mainly pose four major risks. The first is privacy leaks, as the lack of formal data encryption mechanisms makes sensitive data submitted by users easily intercepted or sold by the platform. The second is model degradation, as some operators use low-end models to impersonate high-end ones in order to reduce costs, resulting in seriously distorted outputs. More dangerously, there are malicious implants and data mismanagement; some transit stations hide backdoor programs, which not only implant remote control malware on user devices but also transmit data involving commercial secrets or state secrets to overseas servers without proper authorization.
Special Action Launched to Guide Standardization and Protection
In response to the current chaos, the Cyberspace Administration of China has officially launched a "Clear Brightness - Rectifying AI Application Chaos" special action across the country. At the same time, the Ministry of State Security has called on the public to remain vigilant when using such tools and to consistently choose official direct connections and secure, authorized, compliant platforms. During interactions, users should desensitize sensitive data such as project materials in advance and regularly change key credentials. If any suspicious clues are found indicating the use of "AI transit stations" for activities that endanger national security, they should immediately report them through official channels.
