China Online Literature officially launched its AI writing platform for global creators, focusing on English novel writing - "Xiaoyao Overseas Author Platform" (XIAOYAO) in June 2025, marking the systematic replication of the domestic "IP+AI+Short Drama" ecosystem to overseas markets.
The platform is based on the company's self-developed "Xiaoyao Large Model," providing full-chain AI-assisted creative support for creators, including idea generation, character management, plot continuation, language polishing, and logical repair. The Xiaoyao Large Model, with cross-language localization capabilities, can efficiently transform Chinese narratives into content that meets the reading habits of overseas readers, significantly improving the international acceptance of online literature going global.
In addition to being a productivity tool, the platform has built a commercial closed loop including signing contracts, global distribution, revenue sharing, and promotion mechanisms. Outstanding works will directly receive resource support from key overseas channels. Currently, China Online Literature has made a deep layout in the overseas short drama market, with its Sereal+ and UniReel apps covering over 100 countries and regions, providing mature downstream monetization channels for short dramas and anime dramas derived from IP.
Against the backdrop of intensified global digital content competition, the launch of the XIAOYAO platform not only lowers the barriers to cross-cultural creation but also accelerates the globalization of the Chinese online literature model through the dual driving forces of "technology + channel," providing a new benchmark model for the commercialization of AI technology in vertical content industries.
