Mesh, the personal CRM and relationship management platform under Automattic (formerly known as Clay), officially launched on Android platforms on August 12, 2026, supporting multi-screen adaptation, pop-up views, foldable screens, and real-time cross-device synchronization. It also accelerates the implementation of intelligent features such as Nexus AI.
This move marks that after Automattic's acquisition of Mesh, it further integrates generative AI with personal data asset management, redefining the paradigm of relationship management.
As a core technological highlight, the tested Nexus AI allows users to perform complex relationship asset searches through natural language, accurately answering specific queries such as particular company contacts, city distributions, or field experts. It also actively explores voice-free interaction and AI business card recognition technologies. In terms of strategic collaboration, Mesh has achieved interoperability with Automattic's multiple messaging applications, Beeper. In the future, it will leverage AI to cross over multiple social platforms such as WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and Slack, helping users with large networks efficiently maintain relationships.
In terms of commercialization and privacy protection, Mesh adheres to a subscription model. The free version offers a limit of 1,000 contacts, while the paid version supports unlimited storage and does not share user data for ad targeting. Currently, about 70% of its users apply it in commercial scenarios. From an industry trend perspective, Mesh's cross-platform expansion and AI empowerment reflect that CRM tools are rapidly evolving from static databases into intelligent human-computer collaborative assistants across all scenarios.
