OPPO announced yesterday a collaboration with AI agent platform Manus, integrating Manus' agent capabilities into OPPO AI Mind Pilot, driving the evolution of mobile AI from question-and-answer interaction to multi-step task execution. This feature will be first available on OPPO Find X10 series phones pre-installed with ColorOS 17, further implementing OPPO's "personalized proactive intelligence" strategy.

According to the introduction, the new agent mode of AI Mind Pilot can understand user goals, break down complex tasks into multiple steps, and generate directly usable results through information retrieval and tool calling, while also supporting processing of local files and photos on the phone. For example, when planning a trip, AI can integrate flight tickets, hotel bookings, restaurant reservations, and attraction tickets scattered across different apps, combined with online information to generate a personalized itinerary; in office creation scenarios, it can also organize photos, summarize local files and online information, and generate presentations, proposals, and portfolios.
Tang Kai, President of OPPO Software Engineering, stated that this collaboration aims to enhance the ability of AI Mind Pilot to understand user intent, perform operations, and complete tasks. Zhang Tao, co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Manus, believes that smartphones are an important platform for personal AI agents, and system-level integration helps lower the entry barrier for advanced agents.
In terms of privacy protection, OPPO stated that ColorOS 17 processes local information on the device side, and the original content of tasks such as searching, organizing, and renaming files and photos will not be shared with Manus. When cloud processing is involved, the system will obtain explicit user consent beforehand. This collaboration reflects the trend of mobile phone manufacturers integrating AI agents into operating systems, moving AI from information assistance to actual task execution.
