This move is an active transformation by Baidu to adapt to industry trends and expand the boundaries of search capabilities.
The upgraded Baidu Search box is named "Intelligent Box," significantly enhancing its input capabilities, now supporting text input of over a thousand characters. At the same time, various input methods such as photography, voice, and video have been comprehensively enhanced and can directly access AI writing and AI image creation tools, greatly enriching the ways users interact with search.
The "Bai Kan" feature has also been fully upgraded in this update. It not only supports mixed content output of images, text, audio, and video but also innovatively integrates functions such as intelligent agents and real-person services, aiming to provide more rich and diverse forms of information presentation.
The upgrade of the **"AI Assistant"** is another major highlight of this update. It adds a video call function and significantly enhances multi-modal input, rich media output, one-stop workspace, and deep search capabilities, making it a more comprehensive AI assistant tool. In addition, the intelligent creation capabilities have also been greatly improved. Now, users just need one sentence to generate a three-minute creative video, and it supports shot editing and customizing visual content. To date, the Baidu Search Open Platform has successfully integrated over 18,000 high-quality MCPs (Multimedia Content Providers), making it the largest AI ecosystem in China.
Notably, this update also integrated the video generation model MuseSteamer and its creative platform **"HuiXiang"**, developed by Baidu's commercial R&D team. According to reports, MuseSteamer is the world's first video model that realizes integrated generation of Chinese audio and video, marking a breakthrough in Baidu's artificial intelligence-generated content (AIGC) field, especially in Chinese video creation.
This major update reflects Baidu Search's strategic transformation from generalization to personalization, from tool-based to content-based, and from information retrieval to task completion, aiming to provide users with a smarter, more efficient, and more comprehensive search experience.
