Tesla has recently announced that CEO Elon Musk has decided to dissolve the in-house Dojo AI project and reorganize the company's engineering teams. This change has affected multiple teams, with adjustments made to the roles and reporting relationships of relevant personnel. The terminated Dojo business has been split up, and the related employees have been reassigned to different groups to adapt to new work directions.

According to insiders, some employees who focused on software development are now working under Ashok Elluswamy's team, who is currently responsible for artificial intelligence work in Tesla's autonomous taxi and humanoid robot areas. Elluswamy's position has been elevated during this restructuring, highlighting his strategic importance within the company.

At the same time, engineers involved in silicon or semiconductor work now report to Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is responsible for Tesla's autonomous driving hardware and leads the development of the AI5 chip. This move indicates that Tesla's focus on autonomous driving technology remains unchanged, and it will continue to push forward the development of related hardware. Additionally, firmware team employees are now led by Silvio Brugada, and this adjustment will help strengthen Tesla's technical integration capabilities.

Although Tesla has not publicly disclosed how many Dojo project engineers have left the company, earlier reports indicated that the startup company DensityAI has already hired about 20 senior engineers from Tesla. This change may reflect the impact of the Dojo project's termination on the engineering team and the market's attention to Tesla's technical talent.

Tesla's goal with this restructuring is to further optimize the team structure and ensure that the company's technological innovation and product development can maintain efficient operations. As AI technology continues to develop in the fields of autonomous driving and humanoid robots, Tesla still hopes to maintain its leadership in the industry.
