Recently, Li Liang, Vice President of ByteDance Group, clarified the rumors about "an average of 7 months of turnover" through his personal Weibo. He pointed out that the rumor originated from an article published in the "CEIBS Business Review," which contained many false statements. Li Liang even suggested that the content might have been created by artificial intelligence (AI).

Li Liang mentioned on Weibo that the claim about "TikTok launching 'Bai Nian Effect' for the Spring Festival in 2016" was inaccurate. He pointed out that TikTok was officially launched in September 2016, so it was impossible to launch the effect during the Spring Festival of that year. Additionally, Li Liang emphasized that TikTok did not miss any opportunities in subsequent Spring Festival marketing due to cross-departmental coordination delays, and the statement in the article was clearly wrong.

The article also mentioned that ByteDance's global business was split into 217 "entrepreneurial units," each with fewer than 150 employees. Li Liang stated that this was completely a rumor. According to this claim, the total number of ByteDance employees should not exceed 32,000, but the actual number is far higher. He also pointed out that data such as "35% internal and external turnover rate" and "project survival rate needs to be greater than 45%" were all imagined and had no factual basis.

Li Liang specifically mentioned that the author of the article had published multiple articles on the "CEIBS Business Review" that seemed to be written by AI, involving multiple companies. He called on the media to indicate the authenticity of AI-written articles to avoid misleading readers.

In Li Liang's response, it was clear that he expressed strong dissatisfaction with the false rumors and AI-written articles, and suggested that the "CEIBS Business Review" should add a reminder such as "This is an AI-created article, the content is not true, please read carefully" when publishing similar content in the future to ensure the accuracy of information.
