Today, Volc Engine announced a new release and upgrade of its Doubao large model matrix, and officially launched the "Intelligent Model Routing" service to accelerate enterprises' transition to the Agentic AI era.

Volc Engine released and upgraded four Doubao large models this time: Doubao Large Model 1.6 Upgrade: Enhanced core capabilities, native support for four thinking lengths, providing more precise reasoning control for complex tasks. New releases: Doubao Large Model 1.6lite, Doubao Speech Synthesis Model 2.0, and Doubao Voice Cloning Model 2.0 made their debut, further enhancing the lightweight and multimodal capabilities of the models.

To address the challenge that enterprises face in the transition to Agentic AI, where they need to more precisely balance model performance and cost, Volc Engine officially launched the "Intelligent Model Routing" service. This service supports the intelligent selection and calling of multiple mainstream models such as Doubao, DeepSeek, Qwen, and Kimi, helping enterprises achieve optimal model calls.

With the continued acceleration of AI industry implementation, Volc Engine has shown strong growth momentum. As of September 2025, the daily token call volume of the Doubao large model exceeded 30 trillion, growing by more than 80% compared to the end of May this year. In the enterprise market, according to an IDC report, in the first half of 2025, Volc Engine ranked first in China with a market share of 49.2% in the public cloud large model service market in China.
