AI music creation is moving from the cloud to every desktop. QQ Music recently launched the "AI Song Creation" feature, which, powered by AI PCs equipped with Core Ultra processors, first achieves fully local large model music generation. Users no longer need to be online; relying only on their device's computing power, they can create a complete, style-rich original song in just a few minutes, such as the recent popular AI work "Great Northeast," which was born this way.

The operation process is extremely simple: users click "AI Song Creation" on the QQ Music interface, input keyword inspirations (such as "Snow Village" or "Hot Mattress"), select a genre like "Pop," and click "AI Quick Creation." The system then automatically generates a complete work including an intro, verse, and chorus. Whether professional musicians test melodies or ordinary users record life reflections, the barriers to creation have never been lower.

Different from competitors that rely on cloud-based APIs, QQ Music has chosen a local inference approach this time. All AI computations are completed on the user's device. This not only significantly reduces the waiting time for generation but also fundamentally ensures creative privacy—sensitive data such as ideas, lyrics, and melodies do not need to be uploaded to a server, eliminating the risk of leakage.

The realization of this capability hinges on the dedicated NPU (Neural Processing Unit) built into the Core Ultra processor. This hardware unit is optimized for AI workloads and can efficiently run large model inference tasks at low power consumption. Even on a laptop, users can smoothly complete music generation, video editing, and image processing, while extending battery life.

This move marks that AI PCs are moving from "performance upgrades" to "role transformation"—they are no longer passive tools executing instructions, but intelligent creative partners that understand user intentions and actively assist in creation. As the local large model ecosystem matures, personal devices may soon take on more high-value, high-privacy generative AI scenarios in the future.

When the birth of a song takes only the time of a cup of coffee, and it belongs entirely to you, perhaps the era of democratized music creation has truly arrived. And this collaboration between QQ Music and Core Ultra is opening the door for millions of users.
