The official statement from Tencent said that the new yuanbao aims to accompany users with a "more lively and dynamic attitude." This brand upgrade followed the strong performance during the 2026 Spring Festival. According to the latest data, Yuanbao's performance during the Spring Festival was impressive: its daily active users (DAU) peak exceeded 40 million, and the monthly active users (MAU) reached 114 million. Especially under the promotion of the 1 billion cash red envelope incentive campaign, the number of AI tasks completed through the "Create" section exceeded 1 billion times.
The current domestic AI application market has formed a "Douban, Qianwen, Yuanbao" tripartite situation. Although ByteDance's Douban still leads in DAU peak, Tencent Yuanbao shows strong user stickiness due to the powerful entry point advantage of the WeChat ecosystem and high average usage frequency per user.
