On April 30, Xiaohongshu released an internal message to all employees, announcing the start of a new round of organizational restructuring. The core of this adjustment lies in the comprehensive integration of three business lines: community, e-commerce, and commercialization, as well as the company's technical system. A new AI first-level department "Dots" was established, marking Xiaohongshu's official elevation of AI to the highest strategic priority, aiming to achieve a fundamental transformation from a tool-based application to a core productive force.

In terms of personnel appointments, Nan (Ding Ling) was appointed as the President of Xiaohongshu, fully responsible for the company's core business operations and directly reporting to CEO Xingyu. The heads of specific business sectors were also clearly defined: Zhiheng will lead the large commerce sector, overseeing advertising and e-commerce transactions; Palu will take charge of the community sector, focusing on user scale and ecological health; and Xiahou will be responsible for the algorithm system, providing foundational technological support for core businesses.
The newly established Dots department will build a full-chain system covering model development, infrastructure, engineering implementation, and product applications. Meanwhile, Xiaohongshu established a Corporate Intelligence Department, integrating the original Enterprise Efficiency Department and Data Science Department, aiming to build an organizational foundation suitable for the AI era from the perspectives of data and talent. In addition, the internal message disclosed the establishment of a Overseas Business Department "Rednote", clearly defining the goal of breaking through from 0 to 1 in international business, with plans to promote its lifestyle community model globally.
Industry analysis points out that Xiaohongshu's recent "major move" aims to break down business barriers and drive deep collaboration in the "planting grass - transaction" loop through AI technology. In the context of diminishing traffic dividends, concentrating resources on AI and internationalization is not only a continuation of the technical path (such as the previous OpenStoryline), but also a key measure for Xiaohongshu to build a second growth curve and establish a differentiated competitive advantage in the fierce content platform competition.
