On June 15, the health AI application "Ant Afu" announced an upgrade to its "Take a Photo of Skin" feature: the number of identifiable skin diseases increased from 50 to over 100, covering 99% of common skin issues encountered in online medical consultations. At the same time, Afu also launched a new service called "Doctor Review": after receiving Afu's answer, users can choose to invite a doctor from a top-tier hospital to review Afu's analysis and provide additional opinions. This is the first AI application to implement the "AI Q&A + Doctor Review" collaborative model in China, offering a feasible path for AI and doctors' collaboration and opening up new possibilities for the "AI + Doctor" sector.

Test data from Afu shows that 15% of users choose the "Doctor Review" option, with an agreement rate of over 90% between Afu's analysis and the doctor's review.
After Afu answers, 15% of users use the "Doctor Review" function
A reporter experienced the complete process in Afu's "Take a Photo of Skin" feature: after Afu analyzed the skin condition and provided recommendations, the system prompted the user to invite a senior doctor from a top-tier hospital to review Afu's results.
After clicking "Free Confirmation," the system matched a doctor within 5 seconds, showing that the doctor came from a skin department of a certain top-tier hospital. After online authorization, the doctor quickly responded, confirming Afu's analysis. If the doctor felt more information was needed, they would initiate a text conversation with the user, collect more information, and then conduct a review and provide a response.
Experience showed that the entire process from applying for doctor review to receiving the doctor's response took about 2 minutes. The product page indicates that the "Doctor Review" feature is currently in a "limited-time free" status, with each person having 3 free opportunities per day. Users can also choose "Not Now" to end the conversation directly.

Ant Afu stated that the "Doctor Review" feature is currently only being tested on skin-related consultations, aiming to provide diverse options for some users who still have doubts about AI answers, while also exploring the "AI + Doctor" collaboration model. According to the testing phase, approximately 15% of users choose the doctor review, with an agreement rate of over 90% between the doctor's review and Afu's analysis.
According to the introduction, the doctors involved in the "Doctor Review" process come from top-tier hospitals nationwide, and the duration of the free period has not been determined yet.
"AI + Doctor" Human-Machine Collaboration, Opening Up Industry Possibilities
Under the guidance of the national "Artificial Intelligence +" initiative, AI technology is accelerating its application in the healthcare field, bringing innovative convenient services such as AI registration, cloud companionship, and AI report interpretation.
Ant Afu stated that in the healthcare field, AI provides popular science Q&A services, but the main decision-maker for treatment will always be real doctors. The service model of "AI Answer + Doctor Review" leverages the immediate convenience and large-scale service advantages of AI Q&A, while allowing real doctors to perform a "second check" from a professional, rigorous, and safe perspective, making users feel more confident and saving them some time and effort spent going to the hospital. "We hope that the experience of excellent doctors can be amplified through AI platforms, breaking geographical barriers to benefit more people."
Chen Shuqiang, Dean of the China Institute of Hospital Development, believes that the exploration of the "AI + Doctor" human-machine collaboration model will further promote the integration and innovation of AI technology and professional medical services. The application of AI in the healthcare field is not intended to replace doctors, but to assist doctors in better addressing the needs of the public for medical care. Ant Afu's attempt provides convenience for patients and offers a reference model for doctors to use digital and intelligent technologies to improve quality and efficiency.
