Are you eating healthily every day? Now, just take a photo and find out. On September 16th, Ant Afu launched the "AI Diet Score": users can take a photo of their meal, and the AI will automatically identify the types of food, calculate the nutrition and calories, and provide an easy-to-understand score. At the same time, Ant Afu also announced that to encourage users to eat seriously, the "Scientific Weight Loss of 100 Million Jins" campaign has added extra rewards - it will distribute 100 million eggs. Users can simply continue using AI to take photos of their meals and get eggs for 1 cent.

Take a photo before eating and let AI give a score, everyone has a personal nutritionist

According to the introduction, the AI diet score refers to the "Reasonable Dietary Index" from the Chinese Nutrition Society, which was jointly developed by Afu and the expert group of the Chinese Nutrition Society: users take a photo of their meal before eating, and the AI can identify the composition of the dishes, analyze the ratio of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and dietary fiber, evaluate whether the intake of oil, salt, and sugar exceeds the standard, as well as whether there are high-purine or high-sugar foods.

A journalist tested this feature. After taking a photo of a work meal with two meat dishes and one vegetable dish, the system gave a score of 81: the diet score confirmed that the protein intake of this meal was sufficient and the variety of food was rich, but it pointed out that the sodium intake was clearly too high, and specifically mentioned that the overall "oil content is high and sugar is also considerable," suggesting to change the drink to unsweetened tea, and in terms of taste, "you can try a lighter one tomorrow."

The product manager of Ant Afu's AI diet score said, "We hope to give each user an accessible personal nutritionist." He introduced that, facing different people's health management needs, Afu will give different scores and suggestions based on the user's BMI, exercise intensity, and personalized needs.

For users who want to lose weight, Afu can record and manage the calories of three meals by taking a photo, and combine it with weight to give dietary and exercise advice, which can also avoid side effects caused by extreme weight loss methods. For people with hypertension, diabetes, and other chronic diseases, using Afu to take photos of their meals can help avoid high-oil, high-sugar, and high-salt foods, promoting the stability and improvement of blood sugar, blood pressure, and blood lipids. For families with pregnant women, babies, and the elderly, Afu can provide nutritional matching references at different stages, specifying what should be eaten more and what should be avoided, all with scientific basis. Before ordering takeout, buying snacks, or fruits, you can also use Afu to take a photo to know the calories and nutrition. When encountering uncertain health methods online, asking Afu can also help avoid pitfalls.
