On June 23, Meta announced a new deep collaboration with global eyewear giant EssilorLuxottica, officially launching a new smart glasses series - Meta Glasses. As Meta's first AI hardware that is natively equipped with the Muse Spark multimodal large model since its release, the product's launch marks an important upgrade in form and capability for all-day edge AI assistants.

The Meta Glasses series is priced at $299 upon release, with three frame styles available: Meta Adventurer (standard and large sizes), Meta Fury, and a slim oval design created by Kylie Jenner. It offers 26 combinations of various colors, lenses, and frames, fully supporting prescription lenses.

In terms of core specifications and features, the series includes a three-way adjustable nose bridge, with a single charge providing over 8 hours of battery life. When used with a portable folding charging case, it can provide an additional 4 charges, resulting in a maximum total battery life of 40 hours. The hardware includes dedicated operation buttons, open-ear dual speakers, and advanced microphone arrays, supporting high-fidelity audio playback, full-hand gesture hands-free photography, and intelligent noise-canceling calls.

In terms of AI ecosystem, the biggest technological highlight of Meta Glasses is the underlying computing power provided by the first dedicated model developed by Meta Superintelligence Labs - Muse Spark. Based on this model, the new Meta AI has strong multimodal understanding capabilities, not only providing more accurate daily schedule management, sports scores, and local lifestyle recommendations, but also supporting gesture and visual interaction.

Additionally, Meta announced the simultaneous launch of the "Dynamic Photo" multi-frame smart recommendation feature this month and plans to launch screenless pedestrian and navigation alerts soon. It will also expand real-time translation languages to include 14 languages, including Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Hindi, and Korean. Currently, the model's capabilities have also been rolled out to Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta users in the United States and Canada.

Currently, Meta Glasses are officially available on Meta.com, Amazon, Best Buy, and designated retail channels. Industry analysts believe that from early collaborations with Ray-Ban and Oakley to the current deepened cooperation with EssilorLuxottica, Meta is accelerating the push of AI glasses into the mainstream consumer market through the cross-industry integration of fashion and technology. The launch of Meta Glasses not only enriches the category ecosystem of smart wearable devices, but its deeply integrated edge multimodal AI capabilities also provide a highly reference-worthy hardware prototype for the efficient implementation of the next generation of human-computer interaction paradigms.
