Josh Woodward, a vice president at Google, announced on the X platform that this update focuses on enhancing Gemini Spark's integration with office scenarios. The updated Spark can now open and edit Google Docs, read comments in Google Sheets and Slides, and support editing shared and private spreadsheets and presentations, further expanding its application scope in enterprise office and personal productivity scenarios.

Previously, Gemini Spark already supported some Workspace functions, including meeting scheduling and conversation summaries. With the addition of document, spreadsheet, and presentation processing capabilities, Spark is gradually evolving from a task execution tool into a more complete AI office assistant.

In terms of performance, Google stated that the AI agent speed of Gemini Spark has improved by over 50% compared to before, and it also supports parallel processing of information from multiple data sources, thereby improving the efficiency of complex tasks.
