Elon Musk announced on the X platform the latest update, officially previewing the release of a new Grok4.7 model within the next 10 days, with an estimated launch date of September 12, 2026. This development marks another full-speed sprint by xAI in terms of artificial intelligence parameter scale and performance iteration.

In terms of parameter scale and performance, Musk previously revealed that the Grok4.7 model will have a parameter count of 2.1 trillion (2.1T), representing a 40% increase from the 1.5 trillion parameters of its predecessor, Grok4.6. Musk stated in a tweet that while the service speed of Grok4.7 may be slightly slower, it outperforms Grok4.6 in all aspects and has higher token efficiency.

Previously, on August 13, Cognition had tweeted that Grok4.6 showed significant improvements over Grok4.5, with its performance already surpassing GPT-5.6Sol, second only to Opus5 and Fable5. In response to this industry landscape, Musk confidently retweeted and asserted that with the official launch of Grok4.7, the model is expected to surpass all existing AI competitors, achieving a comprehensive breakthrough against current mainstream models.
