"No need to act high and mighty," but not considering whether "Endless Summer" can make money yet
In response to the claim that actors take such authorization because they are short on money, Qi Wei replied: It's not true that projects are completely not considered for returns. I have no need to act high and mighty. She believes that a good market should have positive feedback and commercial income, but the field of using AI for content creation is too new, so new that even the rules haven't been established yet. Therefore, she hasn't considered yet whether "Endless Summer" can make money.
She hopes that this act of using AI to generate her image can give the market more confidence. She gave an example that many AIGC creators are very excellent, but most of their creations have not been commercialized yet, which has not dampened their enthusiasm. There are many competition short films both at home and abroad, as well as works from self-taught big names on social media, which are all very impressive. Whether these creators use AI to save money or make money, in her view, they are currently creating for love. In response to the question of whether actors' authorization is due to lack of money, her answer is: Even if you authorize it, it doesn't mean you can make money.
