Kuaishou Technology's Qiling AI has collaborated with Xingmang Short Drama to launch the world's first AIGC (Artificial Intelligence Generated Content) series, "New World is Loading," which has attracted widespread attention in the industry. The series features a diverse range of genres such as science fiction, history, fantasy, and absurd comedy, showcasing the potential and challenges of AI creation.
At the premiere, reporters observed that the plot of "New World is Loading" was full of innovation, especially the rich sci-fi elements and smooth fight scenes, thanks to detailed action scripts and end-frame technology. However, some issues were also exposed in the series, such as inconsistency in character performance, relatively weak emotional expression, and occasional face distortion in group scenes.

Li Yang, the product and operations director of Qiling AI, mentioned in an interview that although AI creation has made certain progress, it has not yet reached the ideal state of "one-click generation, on-demand access." Creators often need to repeatedly write and adjust prompts, and even try multiple times, which tests their creativity and patience. The current consumer base mainly consists of professional creators who need to master these tools to achieve the desired results.
In terms of commercialization, Qiling AI has made rapid progress. The company revealed that its annual recurring revenue (ARR) has exceeded $100 million, while Goldman Sachs predicts that its revenue will surpass $120 million by 2025. Nevertheless, Li Yang also admitted that the current technology still needs improvement in areas such as stability, motion performance, and clarity. The team is currently focusing on optimizing semantic compliance and motion performance to achieve more natural and physically plausible results.
In the industry competition, Qiling AI remains at the forefront. According to data from Artificial Analysis, both Google's Veo series and Qiling series have shown outstanding performance in video generation technology. Li Yang acknowledged the audio-video synchronization function of Google's Veo3, but she pointed out that Qiling AI focuses more on the practical application of technology and user experience, striving to continuously optimize its products through interaction with users.
Li Yang believes that although different companies started and developed at different speeds, they are all working for the future of the industry. She expects that after the foundation of models reaches a critical point in expressiveness, stability, and controllability, more practical new product forms will emerge.
