China Unicom has launched the "Xiaomo Fang" AI-native terminal. This product was co-developed by China Unicom and Meizu, featuring the Yunzhi OS, a 4-inch small square screen design, and an overall weight of 99 grams. It focuses on full-voice control, AI intelligent services, smart calls, and terminal-cloud collaboration.
It can order coffee, "see the world," and offers built-in translation and note-taking for calls
The Xiaomo Fang is equipped with AI-native Yunzhi OS, capable of performing daily tasks such as ordering coffee and controlling smart home devices. Relying on the device's edge-side camera and large model capabilities, it also supports "AI See the World," which can identify objects in real-world environments and provide relevant information.
The Xiaomo Fang is deeply integrated with China Unicom's intelligent new calling service, supporting AI translation, AI note-taking, call summaries, accessibility calls, and emotion recognition. Among these, AI translation provides real-time Chinese-English translation, while AI note-taking generates summaries and to-do lists after calls. Accessibility calls support real-time conversion between voice and text.
Switch between local and cloud identities, with 2TB of cloud storage
The Xiaomo Fang supports switching between local phone and cloud phone identities, enabling collaboration of terminal-cloud applications, data, and computing power, and offering 2TB of cloud storage space. Some applications and large files can be run and stored in the cloud.
Notably, at Meizu's 2026 Meizu Friends Spring Festival event in January, Meizu announced the "AI Square Block" (Meizu 22 Next), featuring the Zhiyuan T8200 chip, a 4-inch screen, a glossy polycarbonate shell, and the Flyme AIOS. At the Tencent WorkBuddy ecosystem launch event on September 2nd, the Meizu AI Square Block concept device was also unveiled again. Through deep integration of Flyme AIOS and the core capabilities of the WorkBuddy cloud-based AI workspace, it offers an AI collaborative work experience. According to the blogger @Experience more, the Meizu AI Square Block will go into mass production and be available on the market.
